M.S. in Cybersecurity and Cybersecurity Certificate Programs

The program is primarily intended for those who have successfully completed the Cybersecurity Certificate program in the department and aim to receive further technical and specialized training in computer science and cybersecurity.

The main objective of the program is to expose students to state-of-the-art concepts and techniques in the area of cybersecurity in addition to providing them with the necessary theoretical and technical computational skills.

The program requires completion of ten graduate courses (30 credits):

• Five (5) Computer Science core courses:
  1. CSC 503: Java Programming
  2. CSC 549: Computing Essentials
  3. CSC 552: Computer Architecture
  4. CSC 553: Computing Systems
  5. CSC 621: Database Management Systems
  
  
  
• Four (4) Cybersecurity foundation courses:
  1. CSC 627: Introduction to Security
  2. CSC 628: Advanced Security
  3. CSC 645: Introduction to Ethical Hacking
  4. CSC 644: Security in Mobile App
  
  
  
• An additional course chosen from the following list:
  • CSC 652: Digital Forensics
  • CSC 653: Introduction to Social Network Analysis and Modeling
  • CSC 791: Independent Research

Note: With the exception of CSC 503, which is a 16-week online module, all other courses are offered as 8-week online modules.
